broadband wireless?

we have wireless broadband in our lounge my son has it in the bedroom we have had wireless for months now but my son put the internet on in his room and cant get nothing at all it seems to have disconnected itself any ideas please hes lost without his computer .many thanks sci............... its a compaq , windows xp bought from pc world december last year .

1. if it is bt turn the hub off leave for a minute turn back on and the hub will reset itself it will take about 5 mins to sort itself out. i had this trouble and it worked for me
2. This happened to my PC a while ago. It came back within a week though I think it got muddled up with other networks.
3. Need more info like who made your sons comp and the wireless router. You are here so it looks like his computer not the router? What operating system does he have on his comp? Is it a laptop or a desktop? Check that stuff and detail a new Q AAS Computer Networking, ISP Help Desk Tech (slow day)
4. there is a button behind the bt hub, press and hold the button for 5 - 10 seconds and and will reset the wireless and get the internet up and running again, if its still not working, install the cd installation and run through the set up again
5. i think you need to properly configure your router in fact all connection should be checked
