Will you answer a question for a wireless network illiterate?

I live in a wireless household. I have wireless broadband service for my laptop and a DISH HD DVR. I can connect the laptop to the DVR, but would like to do this wirelessly. Need help with router and instructions. Since I am a computer dummy please give me kindergarten instructions. I searched previous questions but all were for cable or DSL internet service. Thanks in advance.

2. It is not impossible, but it is not something that could be done easily. We would have to know the model number of the various pieces of equipment that you have in your house, and then could advise you what else you needed to buy and configure. If you did one thing improperly, it would not work.
